There are moments in life when everything seems to be falling apart – when deadlines are close, options are exhausted, and hope feels distant. I experienced one of those moments during my 200 level, first semester, in Bible college. That season reshaped my understanding of how God works, especially when things look impossible.
A Situation with No Way Out
At the time, exams were just a few days away, and I had not paid a single naira of my school fees. The total amount was ₦30,000 – ₦27,500 for tuition and ₦2,500 for student fees. The college policy was strict: “No teller, no entry.” Without proof of payment, there would be no access to the exam hall.
Knowing this, I couldn’t even bring myself to study. What was the point? I had already begun to think about leaving the college entirely. The situation felt final – closed, sealed, hopeless.
An Unexpected Turnaround
On the Friday before exam week, while lying on a table in the hall, lost in thought and worry, my phone suddenly beeped. Assuming it was one of those routine network messages, I almost ignored it. But when I checked, I saw something that shocked me – a ₦20,000 alert.
The money came from a man who had promised to support me over two years earlier, but nothing had ever come of it – until that moment. I jumped up in excitement. At least now, I thought, I could plead with the school authorities for mercy.
As the excitement settled, I lay back down and began thinking about how to start preparing for the exams.
God Completed What He Started
About 20 minutes later, my phone beeped again.
This time, it was a ₦10,000 alert – from a church where I had ministered three months earlier. They had taken my account details back then but never sent anything. Now, suddenly, the remaining amount came through.
Just like that, I had the exact ₦30,000 needed – no excess, no shortage.
Walking into the Exam Hall with Confidence
You can imagine the joy and relief I felt. What seemed impossible only days earlier was resolved effortlessly. On Monday, I walked confidently – majestically – into the exam hall with my full school fees paid.
That experience left a permanent mark on my faith.
A Message for You Today
If your life feels rough right now – if doors appear closed and hope seems lost – I want you to know this:
God is making special arrangements for you.
You may not see it yet. You may feel forgotten. But God has not abandoned you. He shows up at the time you least expect, in ways you could never plan or predict.
Don’t give up.
Don’t walk away too soon.
Hold on to Him.
A Prayer for Strength
May you receive the strength to remain steadfast in God, even in uncertain seasons.
May your faith not fail.
And may divine help locate you at the perfect time, in the name of Jesus Christ.
Be blessed – now and always.
